This is the story of a home that truly matters. It was created by a family who values feelings and emotions over the rush of everyday life. When I first met them, it was clear that the location and surroundings were everything to them. They wanted to design something truly special.
I remember the first time I saw the space. It wasn’t just the space itself, but the terrace and the view - the sense of serenity it had. I can still see it clearly in my mind, and that’s when the idea to bring the outside in first came to me. There was a story to tell, not just for the people who would live there, but also a story of how design and nature together can create a feeling of tranquility.
One thing that stayed true throughout this project was the quiet hunger for tactility and calm. Every piece here was chosen in person, by feeling the fabric and falling in love with the shapes. It’s decorated with personal objects that hold meaning. Everyone’s story is unique, but this one is something special - an escape, like a holiday at a resort, a true haven for the soul.
The design mood board was inspired by elements that were already right outside the terrace - brown pine stalks, bohemian pampas grass, and a beautiful sea view at a distance. And then there were the things you couldn’t hear—the birds chirping and the soothing wind singing through the trees. The vision was to create a multi functional space for relaxation with swings and an overall feeling of simply being.
This project was all about giving the existing architecture a fresh lift. We kept the kitchen as is, holding onto the brown wood, but upgraded the slightly worn white door fronts. The dining table and TV console were chosen to complement the brown tones already in the space, while also drawing inspiration from the surrounding pine trees. The soft, monotone beige hues form the base of the home and are carried throughout. A touch of black, which was already present in the internal glass wall structures, was incorporated into other furniture and details to tie it all together.
Irregular shapes bring a playful contrast to the architecture, softening the lines and adding a sense of movement. The mirrors are designed to capture the beauty of the surrounding nature - the sunlit greens and Mediterranean blues - bringing them inside and making the space feel alive as you walk past. Every reflection feels like an extension of the outdoors. The property also features a unique sliding door structure that’s almost invisible, blending seamlessly with the surroundings. This subtle design choice deepens the sense of living in perfect balance with nature, where the boundaries between inside and out seem to disappear.
The terrace is a multi functional space with a bohemian, romantic vibe. A cozy seating corner invites you to gather, while the swing offers a peaceful spot to dream. A beautiful chair, as comfortable as it looks, provides the perfect escape. There’s also a discreet outdoor gym, seamlessly blending into the surroundings. The space is ideal for morning yoga, with the sun rising and moving across the property, casting playful shadows and patterns that create a subtle yet deeply calming atmosphere. It’s a meditation in itself. Imagine being still with a cup of aromatic tea in hand, simply observing the soft movement of shadows from trees and fabrics across the sunlit floor. Watch the curtains flutter, blown softly by the wind, and let the tranquility wash over you.
I want to take you on a journey of imagining your home in this way - designing spaces with integrity and possibility, making it not just a dream, but something completely achievable. After all, we choose our homes because they resonate with us for one reason or another. That means there’s something in that space that can come to life, tailored perfectly to work for you.
The bedroom in this apartment is a serene oasis where comfort and simplicity take center stage. The standout feature is the beautiful bedside wall lamps, which played a key role in guiding much of the design throughout the home. Their irregular shape and soft beige tones bring a calm, tranquil energy to the space. This is beautifully contrasted with the vertically patterned headboard and textured curtains, creating a grounding and balanced atmosphere.
This is home design for the senses - what you see, smell, taste, touch, and hear. Every element of this home was created with that in mind. The fabrics were carefully chosen for their textures and tactility, with subtle patterns woven into the rug, the coffee table’s veining, and the curves of the furniture and wood graining. The mirrors' soft curves contrast beautifully with the architectural lines, while touches of wood, textures stone and black metal add depth and warmth. This space is also pet-friendly, with thoughtful adjustments made throughout the design to accommodate them. The beautiful armchair serves as their throne. In the kitchen, plant-based meals are prepared, focusing on healing, while the dining accessories are selected to balance both functionality and beauty.
The senses matter because they ground you and help you reconnect with yourself, even in ways that are almost invisible. Designing your home is about so much more than just creating a 3D model - it’s a journey of self-discovery. It’s a time to reflect on who we are, what we love, what brings us joy, and what keeps us at peace. For me, design is therapy. The joy of guiding you through this process is both my joy and fulfillment.
